The Government of Maharashtra welfare initiative which is known as the Ladki Bahin Scheme aims to support women from EWS backgrounds. Under this scheme, registered beneficiaries can get Rs. 1,500 monthly directly in their bank accounts. To ensure that assistance goes only to genuine eligible women, the Government introduced a mandatory verification step i.e. the Ladki Bahin eKYC Update 2025.

This digital verification uses Aadhaar based authentication to confirm identity, bank details, income eligibility. Without completing this eKYC, women risk losing their monthly benefit. Previously the deadline to complete the eKYC process was 18th November 2025 but due to natural disasters, this deadline has been extended to 31st December 2025.

Ladki Bahin eKYC Update 2025

The Ladki Bahin Yojana applies to all women in Maharashtra who are considered economically weaker sections. To qualify, a woman must be aged between 21 years and 65 years. Women must belong to a family which has an annual income of Rs. 2,50,000 or less. Each beneficiary under this scheme gets a monthly payment of Rs. 1,500 as Direct benefit transfer to help with the daily expenses.

On 19th September 2025, the Maharashtra Government made e-KYC mandatory for all beneficiaries. As per the Ladki Bahin eKYC Update 2025, the deadline was 18th Nov 2025 but now this deadline has been extended to 31st Dec 2025 due to natural disasters.

Ladki Bahin Yojana eKYC Deadline Extended

Originally, the Government had set 18th November 2025 as the last date for completing the eKYC process. But due to natural disasters, the deadline has been extended. Now, all eligible beneficiaries can complete the eKYC till 31st December 2025. The Government has warned that if eKYC remains incomplete by that date then the monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,500 will not be credited.

Eligibility for Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana

Let’s check who qualifies for this scheme:

• A woman who is a resident of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.
• That woman should be aged between 21 to 65 years.
• That woman must belong to a family whose annual income is Rs. 2,50,000 or less.
• That woman must have an Aadhaar linked bank account.
• That woman must come under any one of the categories: Married woman, widow, divorced woman, abandoned or destitute woman or unmarried woman.

How to Update Ladki Bahin eKYC Online

Let’s check how to complete the e-KYC Process:

• Go on the official https://ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in/ web portal.
• Click on the eKYC Banner which is displayed on the homepage.
• On the eKYC Form: Enter the beneficiary Aadhaar number, enter the captcha code shown on the screen and click on the Send OTP to get Aadhaar Authentication OTP.
• The system will check whether the eKYC is already completed or not. If Yes, then eKYC Completed message will be shown and If Not, then you will see any one of these messages:
  • Aadhaar Number is not found in the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana records.
  • If an Aadhaar linked mobile number gets OTP then enter that OTP and go on submit.
• Once again, enter the Aadhaar number, Captcha and OTP.
• Beneficiary must then do the following:
  • Select the applicant’s relationship type and verify them.
  • Select Caste Category.
  • Fill the required declaration.
• After filling the declarations, tick the checkbox and submit to complete the form.
• The final message will be shown which includes e-KYC Verification has been successfully completed.
