Kerala Social Welfare Pension Hike

As per the official updates, the social welfare pension in Kerala starting November 2025 has been raised from Rs. 1,600 to Rs. 2,000. This pension has been increased by Rs. 400 and this update is fully official and confirmed as this is announced by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The Kerala arrear pension payment of Rs. 1,600 and the new revised pension of Rs. 2,000 will be paid together starting from 20th November 2025. It means pensioners can get a total of Rs. 3,600 in November 2025.

Who Can Get a $2000 New Social Welfare Pension

Let’s check who can claim this $2,000 new Social Welfare Pension in 2025:

• Agriculture Labour Pensioners: People who worked as labour for a period of ten years or more under landowners can get this benefit if their annual family income is below Rs. 10 Lakh and are aged 60 or higher.
• Old Age Pensioners: Kerala residents for a period of 3 years or over can claim this benefit if they are aged 60 years or older.
• Disabled Pensioners: If someone is disabled and aged 60 or older and no one is there to look after that disabled persons then they can claim this new benefit. Whether a person is mentally disabled or physically unfit, both can claim this increased payment.
• Unmarried Women Over Age 50 Years: Unmarried women who are aged over 50 can get this increased benefit. The family annual income should be below Rs. 10 Lakh.
• Widow or Divorced Persons: Those applicants who are divorced or widow and do not remarry can get this new increase payment and the family income should be below Rs. 10 Lakh.
