About Department

Diploma in Commercial Practice is aimed at providing theoretical and practical knowledge in all commercial subjects like accounting, stenography, banking, computerized financial accounting, capital market, e.commerce, data entry, wordprocessing and typewriting etc. Apart from other institutions in Kerala offering DCP courses, this institution provides admission to both genders.

DCP can proudly claim that about 75% of our students can easily get job through KPSC and Staff Selection Tests at their very young age.

Another attraction is, after completing this three year diploma in commercial practice, students can join Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in various universities, Chartered Accounting, Cost & Management Accountancy, and Company Secretaryship etc.

The Programme is to make the students as Professionals of International Standards in Office Administration covering the areas of Accounting, Communication, Automation and Documentation according to the emerging needs of Corporates in Manufacturing, Trading and Service Sectors, Service Oriented Organizations and Government Agencies. Also to make the students fit for pursuing higher education

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

  • Basic and Discipline specific knowledge : Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
  • Problem analysis : Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
  • Design/ development of solutions : Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
  • Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing : Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  • Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment : Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  • Project Management : Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
  • Life-long learning : Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
